Milton and the Devils Party
Milton turns 400 this December! So, the rock band he incorporeally fronts is dedicating all its 2008 shows to everybody's favorite Puritan pariah! "Don't blame me," he says, "I voted for Oliver Cromwell!"

Milton and the Devils Party is really just a rock band creating music out of what we know best. We actually believe in the relevance of art to real life, so it’s natural for us to draw inspiration from both music and literature. And, yes, our lead singer and songwriter may have some kooky ideas about the marriage of literature and rock-n-roll (see band’s name)—but the rest of the band finds this eccentricity amusing as long as it doesn’t interfere with the rocking!

Now, here’s what’s most relevant: we recently made a great record called How Wicked We’ve Become with a gifted producer, Brian McTear, and got a really nice record deal with Transit of Venus, who was kind enough to release said record. We want to oblige by selling enough records for the label not to consider this gesture a huge mistake. Fortunately, we have some wonderful friends who buy our records and who come to our shows. Their numbers are growing, which is encouraging because we really love this music. We hope you will too.
